Parkgate Primary School Admissions
P1 Admissions
Starting school is a milestone for you and your child. We will work in partnership with you to make the transition as smooth and as enjoyable as possible.
Priority will be given to children who have attained compulsory school age at the time of their proposed admission, including those children born on or between 1 April 2019 and 1 July 2019 (inclusive) and children born before 1 April 2019 but with a due date on or after 1 April 2019 whose parents deferred their admission to primary school in September 2023 will be considered.

In selecting children for admission, children resident in Northern Ireland at the time of their proposed admission will be selected for admission to the school before any child not so resident.

In the event of the school being oversubscribed the Board of Governors will apply the following criteria. The criteria are listed in order of priority.
1.
Children who, at the date of their application, have a child of the family currently enrolled at the school.
2.
Children who live closest to the school measured from their home address by distance by land transport on google.co.uk/maps to 79 Grange Road BT39 0DH.
3.
Children will be admitted in order of chronological age, beginning with the eldest.
Pre-Enrolment Notes of Guidance

The purpose of this pre-enrolment application form is twofold:
-
To provide initial, meaningful contact between parents and the school e.g. providing details of our Open Afternoon, providing relevant official open enrolment information.
-
To assist the Board of Governors and staff in the forward planning of the school.
Parents, who are interested in seeking a place for their child in Parkgate Primary School, complete the pre-enrolment form in the knowledge that the Board of Governors are not permitted to include preference in their criteria.
